Kedungu is a half hour car ride from Canggu. Out here its still relatively untouched with padi fields and green open spaces. But as anyone who has been to Canggu before it's social media fame knows, change comes quickly in Bali. Its becoming a popular spot for surfers seeking mellower and less crowded waves. Access to Kedungu is along Jalan Pantai Kedungu which leads to a carpark on the beach front. Around the carpark are warungs serving nasi bungkus, soto ayam and refreshments. Kedungu Surf Shack at the far end is where the local beach boys hang out. They can sort you out with rental boards, guides and lessons. Bathrooms and toilets at the Southern end next to the cliffs require a donation. No TP, but running water and pail are available.
